The Duofold features a range of seven different finishes and the trim will depend on that finish. The Sterling Silver, Black Platinum and Check Marine models come with platinum plated trim and a stamped cap crown while the Check Citrine, Check Amber, Pearl & Black and Black models come with 23 carat gold plated trim with a stamped cap crown.
The range of Parker Duofold Demi fountain pens is not quite as extensive as the standard Duofold with no Sterling Silver model available. The Demi series of the popular Duofold was first introduced in 1946 in the new shorter size.
The Duofold Centennial range drops the Black Platinum model with all of the other finishes available as they have been described above. The Centennial was introduced in 1987 to anticipate the Parker company’s 100th anniversary. The pen reflects the traditional style of the classic Duofold that has been extremely popular for so long.
The classic Duofold range included a list of progressive releases that introduced a variety of different lengths and widths including the Duofold Junior, the Senior, the Special Junior, the Special Senior, the Vest Pocket Duofold, the Streamline, the Juniorette and the Lady Duofold. These vintage Duofold fountain pens may be dated based on the cap band variations.
