The dimensions of the pen are: 5.125” capped, 4.875” uncapped, 5.875” posted. The weight of the pen can feel a little unbalanced in the hand, particularly when writing with it while the cape is posted. The weight distribution feels as though it is far heavier towards the end of the pen forcing you to hold it a little further up the pen than feels strictly comfortable.
The filling method is the standard cartridge/converter system making it an easy job to re-ink the pen.
The nib of the pen is reasonably plain and could be considered to be on the short side. The nib itself is a standard Sheaffer nib and so it is reliable with a consistent and smooth line laid down.
Taking the pen and removing the cap you will find it comes off and is replaced with a nice satisfying click. There is a slight drawback to the cap however in that it is rather sharp at the edges and not particularly sturdy. It is unlikely to withstand any knocks or bumps that might be applied to it. As a slip fit cap you can expect it to eventually lose the raised edge that allows it to click in place meaning the cap will eventually become loose.
